Project Detail the convent

Heatherbrook, Westworth Estate, Surrey

Installation £4.0m

Completion: December 2008

This building has everything! Scale, mass, impression, a true stately home for an aspiring and successful owner.

Initially providing a fully detailed feasibility study into renewable services allowed the client to make decisions for his home.

The ground coupled heat pumps (open loop borehole, which also acts as a clean water source) provides before heating and active cooling to the house. The 1200m 2 home includes entrance vestibule with grand staircase, large living, dining and kitchen with triple garages and media room.

And four individual bedrooms with en-suite on the first floor with servants quarters above the triple garage in a separate annex. Julian Bicknell Associates have provided a superb fully detailed scheme the like of which I have personally never seen before. A true testimonial to a dying art.

The externals and landscaped gardens have been perfected by the Chelsea Flower Show award winning designer, Anthony Paul (www.anthonypaullandscapedesign.com)
